Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong bid for FINA short-course world championships

Budapest, Hungary, July 11, 2017: Three days prior to the start of the 17th FINA World Championships in Budapest on July 14, the FINA Bureau held its meeting on Tuesday. Bureau members heard that there are four candidates for the organisation of the 2022 and 2024 FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) and FINA World Aquatics Convention: 

*Budapest (HUN)

*Chinese Taipei (TPE)

*Hong Kong (HKG) 

*Kazan (RUS)

The decision on this matter will be taken by the FINA Bureau on Monday, July 17.

The Bureau members also placed on record their appreciation of the positive reports received from the organisers of the next FINA World Swimming Championships (25m), in Hangzhou (CHN) in 2018, and the FINA World Championships, to be held in Gwangju (KOR) in 2019.
