eSports makes its debut at AIMAG 2017 with StarCraft II, Dota 2, Hearthstone and KOF games.

 

eSports makes its debut at Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games at Ashgabat 2017 with StarCraft II, Dota 2, Hearthstone and KOF games.

 

Dota 2

 

Day starts with opening ceremony of eSports at AIMAG. Right after first Dota 2 teams came on stage: Team Turkmenistan and Team China B. Unfortunately for turkmenistan fans, Team China B achieved victory with 2:0 score. At the end of the day China B team became the leader of group stage along with Phillippines. Team Turkmenistan and Team Jordan ended on the bottom of the group and most likely they will fight for the spot on the next day.

In Group A Philippines player Princeton Jagolino lost all 3 matches in a row and became the first to leave tournament. Tseng Chia-Chen from Chinese Taipei, Lin Chia-Hung from Chinese Taipei and Su Haojun from China advanced to playoffs.

 

In Group B Rodolfo III Panganiban from Philippines and Iran athlete Soltanabadi Ali could take first two lines and will continue their performance in next stage. Insecure game from Farooq Usman leave him no chance to fight for the medals. Hameed Shahid representing Pakistan also advanced to playoffs.

StarCraft II group stage will continue on day 2 of eSports competitions, but still some of the players secured a spot in the playoffs. Zhou "iAsonu" Hang confirmed his favorite status winning 2 matches in a row. Also Bataa Ononbat from Mongolia showed perfect game streak with 2 wins. Second day of eSports will determine who will achieve the spot in playoffs.

Hearthstone

 

Hearthstone became most unpredictable discipline with unexpected results. One of the favorites of the tournament Olzhas “Naiman” Batyrbekov lost both games in group D with score 2:3 and left the tournament. Same results get Shoukat Saqib, Pakistani player from group B.

 

In group A Pakistani athlete Hasnain Sardarmuhammad finished on the last line and had to leave the tournament, while Liu Bo from China and Vongxay Nanthanakone will fight for the medals in the next round.

 

Group C results become disappointment for local viewers, Serdar Nurmyradov could not beat his opponents and finished on the 3rd line.
